HOW TO PREVENT FREEZE DAMAGE

Snowflakewinterfrostzingwallpaperpreview

It’s that time of year again when the cold weather starts to creep in and we are closing our pools or keeping them open.  The best way to prevent freeze damage is winterize, winterize, winterize! If we are not winterizing our equipment then keep the water moving , the equipment running and all valves need to stay open especially when it gets below freezing. Any exposed plumbing (water features, slides ect) are more prone freezing so don’t forget to include those when keeping the water moving!

In the events of a power outage, you will need to unplug all equipment, pumps, filters ect. After turning everything off, turn the breakers to the equipment off also. When you unplug pumps and filters it drains all the water out of them so turning the breakers off will prevent any damage to them when the power comes back on. An extra safety measure!
